Your personal data
We will use the personal data you give us to process your proposal form and to administer your cover. In connection with this we may provide your data to:
- Your Independent Financial Adviser, if you have submitted your proposal to us via such an Adviser
- Our underwriters
- Third parties who assist in the processing of your cover eg claims handling company.
You are entitled to a copy of the data we hold on you which is subject to the Data Protection Act 1998.
If we write to you our letters will all be marked 'private and confidential'. Unless instructed to the contrary, we will write to you at your place of business.

If you cannot settle your complaint with us, you may be entitled to refer it to the Financial Ombudsman Service.
We are covered by the Financial Services Compensation Scheme (FSCS) so you may be entitled to compensation from the scheme if we cannot meet our obligations. This depends on the type of business and the circumstances of the claim. Insurance advising and arranging is covered for 90% of the claim, with no upper limit. Further information about the compensation scheme arrangements is available from the FSCS.
